Taking you back through the years to the mystical times from the 60s and beyond with classic golden oldies from the 60s, 70s and 80s plus the best in album tracks – all presented like they were back in the mists of time on our Pirate Shows. We also have our weekly Scottish Pirate Show every Sunday at 10am which brings you the best of Scottish bands and artists from the past right up to new breaking bands.
Harvest Moon Radio had its roots firmly placed way back in the 60s when as a boy I would listen to the pirate radio ships such as Radio Scotland 242 and if I was lucky others like Radio Caroline. After the were banned it was the turn of my all time favourite station Radio North Sea International who broadcast off the Dutch coast in the 1970s. The fun way they broadcast eventually inspired me to turn to radio presenting many years later.
Starting way back in the early 90s as a presenter on a local radio station in Peterhead before progressing to a breakfast show on Radio North Angus which went out on both FM and DAB, something new at that time. After that we has a spell on TD1 Radio in the Scottish Borders with the original Pirate Show before setting up Harvest Moon Radio in 2017.
